Position Overview
Role: Activities Assistant
Employment Type: Full-time and Part-time positions
Schedule: Various shifts including weekends and some evenings
Salary Range: $28,000 - $35,000 annually, based on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate daily social and recreational activities
- Implement programs for residents with varying abilities
- Coordinate special events and outings
- Maintain activity supplies and equipment
- Document resident participation and engagement
- Assist with transportation coordination
- Create monthly activity calendars
- Encourage resident participation
- Support individual resident interests
- Maintain clean and organized activity spaces
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Clean background check and drug screening
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to perform essential functions
- Excellent communication abilities
- Basic computer proficiency
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Ability to work flexible schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior activities
- Experience in memory care programming
- Event planning experience
- Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish)
- Recreation or activities certification
